It can be helpful to bring a strapless bra or pasties to your appointment, but it is not necessary as most dresses have built in cups already sewn in. If you feel more confident wearing spanx, feel free to bring them! We recommend nude panties so that they don’t show through the dress.

We recommend you start shopping for your gown around 9-12 months before your wedding. This gives you the time for ordering a dress, which can take up to 4-6 months, and still leaves you room for alterations as well. We recommend a timeline of 8-12 weeks for alterations leading up to your wedding date. Some designers will accommodate shorter timelines, but it’s always best to play it safe.
